Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story is a biography about a woman with more to offer the world than just her looks. Hollywood didn’t always treat her well but she made it look good.

This is a very well put together documentary, filled with people who knew Hedy in real life.

Honest and warm testimonials from Hedy Lamarr’s children, praise from high ranking government officials, and apologies from historians build a powerful story.

Hedy Lamarr was a scientist who was too pretty for her own good. She was an actress with a bad reputation. She was a mother with a good heart and a lot on her plate.

Her outfit says: I am a scientist, and I am a pretty scientist. I can wear pants like men do, but my blouse and vest are on point. And I have a fur coat, because I’m always cold.

With a total run time of just under an hour and a half this film is quick paced and heavy hitting.

It was well written, it features engaging visuals, and it is brought to life by a surprising cast of people whose lives she influenced.
